Gardening Joyfully in 2026 – Granbury, Texas, Saturday, April 11, 2026
Welcome to Gardening Joyfully in 2026! Ruthann McKern, co-host and owner of Fig and Pom Botanicals in Granbury and Texas Gardener are teaming up to bring you the most fun and informative gardening seminar of 2026!
· Be one of the 100 guests to join us on April 11, for “Gardening Joyfully in 2026” at Celebration Hall on the east side of the square in downtown Granbury (114 N. Crockett Street). This all-day event is designed to remind us why we all love to garden! Our speakers are experts in their field. They will give informative talks that will inspire us, encourage us and give us the skills we need to pass along the joys of gardening to our children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors.
· Gardening Joyfully attendees will receive breakfast, lunch and enjoy a custom Blackberry cocktail created exclusively for this event (non-alcoholic options available).
· AWESOME SWAG bags. There will also be great raffles and plant give aways.
· Enjoy a self-guided tour of Lake Granbury Master Gardener’s Demonstration Garden. This lovely garden is a real treat, and we hope you will join us following the presentations. The garden is located just 5 minutes from downtown.
PRESENTERS:
Jay White, publisher of Texas Gardener magazine, will discuss how to have the most healthy and productive backyard vegetables possible. Jay’s fast paced talks are a fun way to get all of the information you need to “Plant Happiness” in 2026.
Rhonda Kaiser of @southernhomeandfarm will show you how to use herbs to create beautiful backyard “flora-scapes” and then show you how to use those herbs to create a gorgeous, fragrant wreath for your home. Rhonda will also be available to sign copies of her recent book “The Vintage Farmhouse Garden”.
Morgan McBride is the Area Representative for Everde Growers. Morgan is a tree expert with years of experience in the DFW area. He will be discussing which varieties of fruit trees work best for growers in the DFW region.
Deborah Rollins is a Hood County Master Gardener. Deborah will give you the information you need to use companion plantings to create beauty, control pests and attract pollinators to your home gardeners.
